In Greece, all riders of scooters are required by law to wear a helmet. Many choose not to but they are at risk of a financial penalty if stopped by the police.
We supply lightweight, comfortable helmets with all of our scooters. The helmets are DOT / ECE R22.05 safety marked and they are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected upon return.
Simply holding a license of the correct category does not mean that the holder has experience of driving a scooter. We will allow our customers to test drive the scooters on a suitable off road area. We expect riders to have a good knowledge of road rules and laws and reserve the right to refuse rental if we feel they will be putting themselves or other road users at risk.
Whilst there is no mileage restriction, due to the limited range that the batteries allow, we have created a geo-fence to prevent users from travelling outbound further than they are able to return. The systems within the scooter will disable the motor function if the scooter travels outside the boundary. A map showing the limits can be viewed here:
We provide a roadside service for breakdown including punctures. If the scooter is disabled due to misuse or damage caused by the rider there will be a recovery cost incurred - details available at the time of rental.
The battery can be removed from the scooter very easily. They are in a compact portable container. The charger is similar to a laptop computer charger. Simply take the battery to any standard electric wall socket and plug into the charger.
It is important that you never leave the batteries unattended when they are charging. You should always remain close by to monitor.
